Vehbi Koç Foundation Culture and Education Complex is situated in an area charcterized by industrial production. The project site lies next to the FORD OTOSAN Production Plants. Existing trees limit the area of construction. Hence, the program has been divided into a group of separated low rise blocks, blended into the grove. This fragmented configuration allows for creation of open end semi open shaded spaces. It also enables the phasing of the construction process. 

The sports complex and cultural centre buildings has been separated with a courtyard which becomes a public space where local people and Ford Otosan employees meet. The programme consists of indoor/outdoor sports facilities, a cafeteria, multi-purpose hall, exhibition spaces and workshops. The complex serves both to the local people and FORD OTOSAN employee. All living spaces are oriented towards the grove with their transparent façades, while service areas face the street behind. This solution helps to create a peaceful environment for relaxation and recreational activities. Each space has been provided with natural light and ventilation. The overall site has been pedestrianized, with car parks pushed to the west end of the area.
