About Us

Continuing its architectural activities under the management of Tülin HADİ and Cem İLHAN, the group was founded in 1992. The diversity in both the subject and scale of the buildings and projects we have produced so far also demonstrates a design approach shaped by intuition, knowledge and good manners. Our event space spans a wide spectrum such as urban design, architectural design, interior design and consultancy services.

We consider every design issue handled with the understanding of an architectural workshop as a unique new situation and a new beginning, and treat it as a problem for which cliché solutions cannot be offered. Every new design is based on the technological possibilities, material, color and climate specific to that place, and we reject temporary and fashionable approaches from the very beginning. Instead, we adopt a philosophy centered on existence, nature and people. We always prioritize the sensitivity to the needs of the users. We believe that providing economical solutions is a prerequisite in the design process. The main reason for this is that in a world where materials and resources are constantly decreasing, the understandings that lead the show of technology and form are no longer acceptable.

TeCe Architecture and Consulting Ltd. Sti. It continues its services in its office in Caddebostan. The impact of critical regionalism can be observed in the subject, scale and diversity of the projects we have produced so far. Our general understanding of design is enriched by the contributions of the architects in our team. TeCe Architecture cooperates with engineering groups that are well-versed in architectural design and support it without damaging it.

As TeCe Architecture, we treat each design issue as a special case on its own. Regardless of scale, we take care to fully understand what the employer’s wishes and expectations are in each project and to translate this into design. In parallel with this understanding / recognition process, we take the unique features of the place to be designed as the basic data that will guide us and we start working. After an objective and measurable analysis study as much as possible, we form the main idea to be mutually agreed upon with one-to-one question-answer meetings and workshops if necessary.
The main topics such as the corporate culture, working habits, expectations and budget projections of the employer we work with constitute the vital inputs of the preliminary design. As TeCe, we attach great importance to the first stage where these inputs will be comprehended, and we see the time spent at this stage as a gain for the later stages of the project. Our experience has shown us that if the needs program is described very well, in the long run, both resources and time gains are achieved. This approach ensures that the future expectations of the users and possible changes in the structure can be met without causing great costs.

As Tece Architecture, we use 2D and 3D presentation techniques that will enable the idea of the preliminary design to be understood in the fastest and most comfortable way during the concept phase. We take care to include engineering disciplines in the design process from the very beginning so that a viable main idea can be revealed and implemented without losing its essence. In addition to our engineers who design structural design and electro-mechanical systems, we find the experience and expertise of our teams of landscape, lighting, interior graphics, orientation and acoustics, fire consultant, green building, facade consultant very important. We move on to the finalized post-project implementation project process by checking the time plan and budget data set by the employer. Our office has been working with the BIM (Building Information Modeling) platform program, which is a contemporary design platform, since 2012. Working based on BIM enables us to coordinate and simultaneously control the design and construction activities as a whole, which is an increasingly complex and in fact an uninterrupted process, at every step. BIM eliminates conflicts that may occur in 2 and 3 dimensions and makes it easier for us to superpose the work of other project disciplines. Thus, it enables us to foresee the problems that may arise during the tender and implementation phase, at the project stage, and to prevent both time and budgetary waste by eliminating it to a large extent.

We believe that our design philosophy and interdisciplinary working method, which we have outlined, will bring contemporary, flexible structures that encourage a culture of living together, with a strong sense of belonging, to the institutions we work with.
