Following the devastating February 6 earthquakes, it is still urgent to provide the cities of the region, which experienced great destruction in every sense, with the physical infrastructure and healthy housing spaces they urgently need. However, in order to realize the social life, neighborly relations and culture of living together that is longed for in a city, there is a great need for other urban facilities as well as housing. In this context, the cultural center planned to be built in Antakya, one of the cities most affected by the earthquake, will also make a significant contribution.
The structure located in Defne neighborhood will not only be a theater venue, but will also host a program that extends throughout the day. The common work areas, cafeteria, music studios, dubbing rooms, rehearsal rooms, dance workshops and shared libraries located in the new cultural center describe a fluid architecture that is the founder of a common life consisting of intertwined activities that feed each other.
